Amaramkavu
I came to know about this temple when my friend, who is an Associate Director in malayalam film., told me. He came to this location to shoot a malayalam film. When he first told me about this temple in the midst of small forest, I got excited., which took me straight to this place.
About
The temple is surrounded by acres of forest containing 1000 year old trees. The deity is Vana Durga. The trees here, are not taken for any purpopse., say for furniture, firewood etc., even it falls down.
Festival - Pooram day in Meenam. Kumbakudam is taken on this day.
Poojas - Only in mornings. Special evening poojas on Mandalakalam [41 days].
